The yearly Venice Design Week is dedicated to ‘the art of product design’ and is held in October when the Venetian canals are transformed into the the channels of cultural transmission sponsored by the Veneto region. The organizers of Venice Design Week are interested not just in the designers but all the professional and theoretical toolkit necessary to create objects of everyday use. That’s why during Venice Design Week such unusual topics as the abilities of sense of touch, emotional design and human wellbeing are raised. This year Venice Design Week will present their project at MDW for the first time. The programme includes meetings and workshops as well as the exhibition of Venetian designers: glass designer Lisa Ferro, Wood-Skin company, wallpaper brand Quid and Staygreen bureau specializing in furniture made of corrugated cardboard.
